A Passion for K9 Nose Work® & Enrichment K9 Nose Work® and enrichment-based training are a particularly important part of what I do.

Allowing dogs to use their nose taps into one of their most natural and powerful abilities. Scent work encourages independent problem-solving, builds confidence and resilience, provides valuable mental stimulation and gives dogs an appropriate outlet for instinctive hunting behaviour.

Watching a dog learn to search, problem-solve and independently work their way to source is one of the most rewarding aspects of dog training — and it can be just as rewarding for the person at the other end of the leash.

Through ongoing professional development and years of practical experience, I’ve had the privilege of helping lots of dogs and their owners develop clearer communication, greater confidence and stronger relationships.

My goal is not to create a “perfect” dog. It is to help you understand your dog, communicate clearly with them and give them the skills they need to successfully navigate life alongside you. With patience, consistency, practical guidance and plenty of rewards along the way, we can work towards a calm, confident, well-mannered canine companion who can truly enjoy life with you.

I’m a Certified Dog Trainer through the National Dog Trainers Federation, a Qualified Canine Hydrotherapist with the Canine Health & Wellbeing Academy, a CNWI Certified K9 Nose Work® Instructor through NACSW, and a certified Canine Hoopers Instructor.

My passion is helping dogs and their people build stronger, happier relationships through practical training, clear communication and meaningful enrichment. I believe good dog training goes far beyond teaching sit, stay and come. Every dog is an individual, and successful training begins with understanding the dog in front of you — their temperament, motivation, experiences, emotional state and individual needs.

My approach focuses on creating calm, confident and fulfilled dogs by supporting both their behavioural and emotional wellbeing. Training should provide dogs with clarity and structure while also giving them appropriate outlets for natural behaviours, mental stimulation and physical activity.

At the heart of my training philosophy are four important foundations: appropriate management, reliable obedience, positive socialisation and enriching stimulation. Together, these help create dogs that are not simply well-mannered, but better equipped to enjoy greater freedom, confidence and inclusion in everyday family life.

Using modern, evidence-based training principles, I focus on developing trust, communication and engagement between dog and handler. Whether I’m working with a new puppy, an adolescent dog testing the boundaries, everyday behavioural challenges, high-drive breeds or dogs discovering the world of scent work, the aim is always the same — realistic, practical and sustainable results that work in everyday life.
